Book 2: Post 2
For book 2, I read In Deep Shift: Riding the Waves of Change to Find Peace, Fulfillment, and Freedom by Valerie Gangas. In this book, Gangas describes her journey of transformation from an anxious, overall unhappy person to a state of deep inner peace. Essentially, In Deep Shift is a self-help book that guides the reader towards a more fulfilling life by exploring the power of their consciousness. Gangas also provides practical tools and techniques for anyone who wants to experience their deep shift.
As I mentioned in my first post, one of the reasons I chose this book was because it was on my friend's list of reading recommendations for the month of February. One of the things I liked was how Gangas draws upon her own experiences, but she also includes other insights from other professions such as spiritual teachers and quantum physics. The book is divided into three parts, each of which explores a different aspect of consciousness. My favorite thing about this book so far is the way Valerie Gangas writes and how she approaches different subjects. It feels as if she's having a conversation with the reader rather than just telling the reader what to do. I also resonated with the practices that helped her let go of past hurts and embrace a more compassionate outlook.
Overall, "The Deep Shift" is a powerful and inspiring book that offers a roadmap for anyone who wants to experience their own transformation. Valerie's personal story and practical advice make it accessible and relatable, and her message of hope and possibility is sure to resonate with anyone who is seeking a more fulfilling and joyful life. I would definitely recommend this book!

ReplyDeleteThis books sounds like it offers a lot of insight about our consciousness and behavior. Your review has made me want to learn more about the book, especially how you mentioned that the author even includes aspects of quantum physics.
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica, I'm very intrigued in this book and it was definitely tied with the book I ended up reading, Resilient. I also like when there is a mix of personal stories. analysis, and the more scientific reasoning as well. I think it makes it nice for everyone to understand it, depending on what they would believe in more!
