The Best Coffee Near Me
Disneyland Resort
Galaxy’s Edge ➞ Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
Anaheim
High Ground Coffee House
Mission Viejo
High Ground is THE place to go when you want to work or study. I get distracted by everything, but I always get my work done here. Fantastic coffee, cozy ambiance, indoor/outdoor seating, and comfortable chairs. They also have a backroom available that can be used for meetings or calls. One of their most popular drinks is their matcha latte, but my current favorite is their spiced dirty chai. The staff is super friendly, and they have a $1 refill fee for their hot coffee.
The Human Bean
Lake Forest
The Human Bean is a drive-thru espresso stand. I believe that they only have this location in Southern California. I would always drive by this place since it is located on a main street and it's in a tiny plaza by a barbershop. The baristas are friendly, and the wait is pretty short. My go-to order is a lavender oat latte or a dirty oat chai with three shots of espresso. Every drink comes with a chocolate-covered coffee bean!
Honorary mentions:
Kona Loa (Irvine & Mission Viejo) ➞ Hot Island Latte & Hot Rose Latte
Reborn Coffee (Laguna Woods) ➞ Simple Columbia Cold Brew & Spiced Chai
Blk Dot Coffee (Irvine) ➞ Iced Spanish Latte & VTM Tiger
High Tide Coffee (San Clemente) ➞ Lavender Honey Latte
Philz Coffee (Costa Mesa) ➞ Tesora, Dancing Water, & Iced Coffee Rose
85C Bakery Cafe (Irvine) ➞ Hazelnut Latte & amazing bread
These coffee shops are not in any particular order since they are all amazing and serve different purposes. For instance, Docking Bay 7 when you're at Disneyland, High Ground for studying, and The Human Bean for a quick drive-thru coffee. If you are ever in the area and love coffee, I highly recommend you stop by!

I've never really been into coffee, what you recommend someone to try who is looking to start drinking coffee on a regular basis? I also remember trying the blue milk at Galaxy's Edge, to this day I still have a hard time describing the taste to people and saying whether I'd recommend it. Besides coffee have you tried yerba mate?
ReplyDeleteI am an avid matcha addict and also share the same passion of discovering new coffee places to try out. Thank you for the recommendations, I am from Orange County so even more perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny coincidence these are also some of my favorite places to go to for coffee. The dirty chai from Reborn Coffee is one of the best I've ever had its right up there with the dirty chai from High Ground. The only difference is that I usually order my coffee with almond milk instead of oat. Although once in a while I will opt for the oat milk.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your review. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I do enjoy the smell and taste from time to time. All the different drinks you took a picture of look tasty. I always have a difficult time choosing what I want to order, so maybe I'll try some of your recommendations.
ReplyDeleteThis post was perfect for me to read right now because I have been yearning to try new coffee shops. I have been so tired of going to Starbucks for the same coffee and I need recommendations on where else to go. I really want to try High Ground as a place for me to try their coffee and potentially spend time studying there too, their matcha sounds so yummy! I am also interested in trying a hot rose latte, it sounds interesting because I have never heard of that before. I can't wait to try out these places!
ReplyDeleteI also love coffee and grabbing a drink while studying. I have to try High Ground Coffee House because I love a good cozy study spot. I love "The Human Bean" name so now I have to go there, but I really liked your review and should definitely branch out and try new and different spots!
