SUBJECT: Investment Opportunity: Mud Jeans
As a Research & Development Analyst at AMDP, it is a part of my duties to find companies worthy of investment. After an extensive search, we must consider investing in MUD Jeans. In order to revolutionize the fashion industry, MUD Jeans focus on three pillars: circular economy, fair production, and positive activism. An investment in MUD Jeans aligns with our core values and has the potential for massive financial growth. In this memo, I will outline the following:

Triple Bottom Line
Triple bottom line theory expands conventional business success metrics to include an organization’s contributions to social well-being, environmental health, and a just economy. It can be broken down into categories called the three “P’s”:
- Profit: the traditional bottom line of a company. A purely financial measure of value.
- People: a measure of a company’s social impact. How its actions benefit all people.
- Planet: a measure of a company’s environmental impact. How sustainable its practices are for the health of the planet (Kenton).
Social Enterprise
A social enterprise or social business is defined as a business with specific social objectives that serve its primary purpose. Social enterprises seek to maximize profits while maximizing benefits to society and the environment, and the profits are principally used to fund social programs (Barone).
Carbon Footprint
A carbon footprint is the quantity of greenhouse gas emissions a person, business, or any other entity produces. These emissions are measured by calculating the number of gases like carbon dioxide and methane that are released by actions both directly, such as burning fuel in a car, and indirectly like the emissions required to produce your electricity. Greenhouse gas emissions are directly tied to global warming. Reducing our carbon footprint is essential to slow our changing climate and prevent the environmental and ecological degradation of the planet (Selin).
